The Minnesota Twins are a Major League baseball team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are a part of the Central Division of the American League. The name Twins comes from the area in Minnesota known as the Twin Cities because it includes Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Minnesota Twins have been around since 1894, however, they have been in Minnesota since 1961. The other names the Twins have had through the years are the Kansas City Blues and the Washington Nationals/Senators.

The Minnesota Twins have retired six baseball jersey numbers so far: #3, #6, #14, #29, #34, and #42. The official colors of their baseball jerseys are red, white, and navy blue. The Twins play at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome until they move to Target Field. They have also played at American League Park, National Park, Griffith Stadium, and Metropolitan Stadium over the years. The Twins have won the World Series three times in 1924, 1987, and 1991.
